With a series of workshops on the theme of OBSERVATION, the HERE WE ARE COLLECTIVE shares its artistic practice in the form of workshops with interested people in the vicinity of the Schlaatz community centre. In the first phase, they get up close and personal with the people living in the area and existing groups and structures.  In a second phase from September to December, they engage in direct exchange in three intensive multidisciplinary workshop blocks and a concluding sharing format.  The three workshops, spread over three months, are intended as impulse workshops that sensitise participants to the topic of observation and encourage them in their artistic work. The workshops are aimed at different generations. The programme concludes with a joint sharing session in which participants share and discuss their experiences in the process.

11 October Workshop 11 a.m.–3 p.m. (with break) Body and self-awareness In this workshop, we ask ourselves the following questions: What changes when we slow down and become more attentive? How do we perceive ourselves and our surroundings?
We explore this through various playful exercises – alone, in pairs and in groups. We move around the room and outside, with our eyes open and closed. 
We put what we perceive down on paper. This gives rise to thoughts and images that turn into stories.

08.11. Workshop 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (with break) Body and memory
‘The most beautiful thing next to silence.’ Music is the door to our memories and a universal language. Sound brings personal stories from everyday life and the past to life. Translated into music, observation means listening. In this workshop, we want to practise listening to each other. In a cosy atmosphere with coffee and tea, we want to share what moves us. Bring your music and the memories associated with it: on records and CDs for nostalgia and on your mobile phone for the present! Record and CD players, computers and even instruments are available to listen to your music, present it or even play it together.

22 November 2025 Workshop 11 a.m.–3 p.m. (with break) Watching and Listening: searching for traces of the neighbourhood with Here We Are Collective
We are looking for interested people for a
special tour through Schlaatz! We will start at 11 a.m. at the Schlaatz community centre. We will explore the neighbourhood with cameras and microphones and discover Schlaatz from different perspectives. We will seek to connect with people we meet along the way. We will conduct short interviews and look for images and sounds. Who knows their way around here? Who has something exciting to say about this special place and its history? How different are the perspectives from which Schlaatz is experienced?
We ask ourselves:
What has changed?
Where are your favourite places in the neighbourhood?
What does Schlaatz sound like?
Warm drinks will be provided along the way, but weatherproof clothing is required!

07 December 2025  11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Open presentation  
Here We Are Collective invites you to a joint meeting at the community centre. At the end of the workshop series, they will show snapshots of their encounters with people in and from Schlaatz in the form of pictures, videos and audio recordings. They look forward to sharing their experiences and spending Sunday at the community centre with snacks and tea!

The workshops are free of charge. Small snacks and drinks will be provided during the workshops.
